Why baby vacuum cleaner is better than its cheaper, pricier competitors
We’ve all had a few instances when we’ve just wanted to go back to the basics and ditch our disposable, dirty, clunky vacuums and buy a new one, but never got around to it.
That’s until now.
The UK’s first baby vacuum was launched last week, and it’s the first one in the UK to offer a single, disposable, portable unit that’s actually more like a vacuum cleaner than a traditional one.
It’s the “baby vacuum”, a little gadget that’s perfect for your everyday use and is designed to be just as good at cleaning as it is being used.
And it’s also great for you.
“The vacuum is designed specifically for people who want a quick and easy clean,” the company says on its website.
“It’s designed to clean, not dry.
It doesn’t rely on air to do its job.
And if you’re not comfortable using a vacuum, you can even turn it on and off to help it work its magic.”
In fact, the only other brand offering a vacuum in the US that comes with a single unit is Philips, which makes its own vacuum cleaner.
“You’ll need one of the three main types of vacuum cleaners: the classic model, the disposable, or the portable,” the Philips site explains.
“For those who prefer convenience, you have three choices: the portable model, or an all-in-one unit that allows you to choose between the two types.
For those who are not concerned with having to use two different types of cleaning, you also have the All-inclusive model.
Both models are designed to give you the most efficient cleaning experience for you and your family.”
You’ll need a Philips vacuum cleaner to use it, but you can buy it separately for under £100.
It comes with everything you need to start cleaning: a battery pack, a small screwdriver, a hose, and a cleaning brush.
You’ll also need a pair of gloves, a hand sanitizer, and cleaning wipes, which you’ll need to clean with a water-based soap and water.
“With our portable vacuum, the cleaning brush and a hand-held brush, you get an extra clean alternative,” the website says.
“We also offer a convenient cleaning kit, which includes a cleaning sponge, cleaning pad, and the Cleaning Brush.
Simply place the Cleanning Brush and Cleaning Pad in the container to be used, then wash your hands with our special soap and Water.”
To use it you’ll just have to put it on, and then take it off the packaging.
The whole thing weighs around two kilos, which is a lot less than most disposable vacuoms we’ve tested, but is still a lot of space for a single person to store their cleaning needs.
And, like most vacuum models, it comes with an instruction manual, which explains how to set it up and use it.
There’s no power button, and you can’t turn it off, which means it doesn’t come with an on/off switch.
However, Philips has made it a bit easier to use, and there’s a handy charging dock that can be used to charge it.
The main advantage of this is that you can keep it for up to 24 hours, or for a day.
You can also set it to clean and dry for the entire 24 hours.
The vacuum comes with two sets of instructions, which should be enough for most people, and, as you’ll see, Philips recommends a full-time job to get the job done.
“As a family, it’s perfect to have our family clean up and take it out of the box, but as we start using it more, we’d love to see what other benefits we can get from the device,” Philips says.
As we’ve said before, it’ll be a while before we see the next generation of vacuum cleaner models in the United States, but Philips is hoping that the US will see a new wave of new baby vacuum cleaners come to market.
“In the coming months, we plan to introduce new, smaller, and more portable vacuemies for women, children, and families who want to take their cleaning to the next level,” Philips adds.
“A new generation of disposable vacuum cleaners is coming to market, and we’re excited to be the first to market with this technology.”
The Philips baby vacuum is available for £89.99 from Amazon UK, and costs £89 per year (which is less than the standard price of £199).
