Seahawks to sign Ryan Shazier, Corey Webster
The Seattle Seahawks have signed quarterback Ryan Shazar to a two-year contract, NFL Network Insider Ian Rapoport reported on Thursday.
Shazier is a former fifth-round pick who is now entering the final year of his rookie contract, which includes a $1.4 million signing bonus.
He’s a backup who is expected to help the Seahawks’ passing game and is expected in a backup role with the team for a season.
Shaziers completion percentage in college is 62.3 percent.
Shazar is the second quarterback signed by the Seahawks this week.
Cornerback Richard Sherman signed a two year, $14.7 million contract with the organization on Thursday, per the Seattle Times.
